Green Bay Packer Snackadium

I've been watching football my whole life. I vividly remember the day my dad sat me on his lap during a Green Bay Packer game and explained the rules of the game to me. Almost twenty years later and I'm still watching (and understanding! Thanks, dad!). Now it's just as much about the food as it is the football, and I look forward to our weekends with friends, crowded around the tv with snacks and bowls of chili and freshly baked cookies.
When Foodbuzz asked me to create a snackadium using Pillsbury pizza crust and crescent rolls, I was all for it. And because the Packers were playing on Saturday and we already had plans to cheer them on, I decided to make it green and gold-themed in honor of our team.
Most snackadiums I've seen online feature savory foods--sub sandwiches, taco dips, and chips. I decided to change things up and this snackadium is comprised of sweets! Using Pillsbury's Classic Pizza Dough for the field, I topped it with a cream cheese frosting and kiwi to mimic the football field. The end zones were covered in coconut dyed yellow and our team loyalties are displayed via green skittles! Ryan crafted some old school field goal posts from a dowel to finish off the field.
We used some white platters and wood pieces covered in foil to form the rest of the stadium around  the field. Green and gold rice krispie treats and truffle-filled crescent bites manned the sides and ends of the field. Each corner held a bowl of funfetti dip and a different dipper--pretzels, chocolate animal crackers, regular animal crackers, and frosting covered animal crackers. The frosting covered animal crackers dipped in funfetti dip might be overkill, but those pink and white crackers are a guilty pleasure from my childhood and I couldn't resist!
As it turned out, the snackadium was not in vain--the Packers advanced to the next round of the playoffs! Given how superstitious my sister is, there just might need to be a snackadium for next week's game against the 49ers!

I have partnered with Pillsbury through DailyBuzz to help promote their Crescent Roll and Pizza Crust products. I have been compensated for my time commitment to work with this product. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments. Thank you Pillsbury for this awesome opportunity to create a Snackadium!
