1. Local readers might be interested in checking out this list from Missouri.com of St. Louis bloggers. It's not all-encompassing, as I know there are many other STL food bloggers out there besides myself and the other listed, but it did introduce me to some new blogs in other categories like fashion and healthy living! 

2. Coupon alert! Alexia is giving fans $1 off any of their products! You can find the link here....and might I recommend you get the sweet potato fries and make these chili fries (pictured above)?! One of my favorites! Or, last weekend, I used the Alexia frozen hashed browns and mixed in bacon and cheese, which we then ate with fried eggs and toast!

3. I'm back with another book recommendation! Perhaps you've already read this best-seller, but for those of you who have seen it recommended all over the place and haven't yet read Unbroken, fix that...immediately! I could not put this book down and I don't want to give too much away except to say that the book's tagline ("A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption") is perfectly fitting. It's probably one of the best books I've read in a long time!

4. Do you have any ripe bananas begging to be used? A reader made my banana bars with cream cheese frosting a few weeks ago and raved about them, making me want to make them again! She said, "Oh my goodness, these were AMAZING. You were so right about the amount of sugar! These were pleasantly sweet, but you could still taste the bananas and the cream cheese. I will never go back to my old banana bread recipe (which only calls for 1 banana and so isn't very fruity) again. Who knew that adding cream cheese icing to banana bread would be SO GOOD? The squares were gone within two days and I am already being asked to make them again. Thank you so much for sharing this perfect recipe!"
