2. Two weeks ago I went on a whirlwind trip to Seattle for work. The quick forty hour trip didn't leave much room for anything beyond travel and, well, work, but I did manage to sneak out for dinner the night before I left. I ended up at Skillet, a hipster diner in Capital Hill where I plopped down in the pea green seats at the counter and dug into a kale caesar salad and a veggie burger made from farro, stuffed with mushrooms, and topped with pickled shallots. I think I've found myself a new Seattle haunt, especially since there were several more things on the menu that I'm itching to try. Can't wait until another business trip takes me west again!

3. My friend Dana, over at Minimalist Baker, has created a pretty snazzy photography e-course with her husband John. I haven't had the chance to take it yet, but it's the #1 activity on my list once I finish my Master's degree in May. The photography on this blog is one area I would love to improve and if you've ever looked at Dana's photos, you know she has real talent. Whether or not you're a blogger, with lessons in understanding your camera and utilizing light from different angles, this is bound to be helpful! Even better, the 15 lessons are only $19.99. Are you heading over to sign up already?!
