I'm willing to bet most of you--at least most of my domestic readers--will be watching the Superbowl on Sunday. Regardless of who you're rooting for, or whether you're only tuning in for the commercials, you'll need to eat!
Here are a few last minute recipe ideas to fuel all that time sitting in front of the television! Note: pretty much all of them can be made ahead of time, so get busy in the kitchen in the next few days and enjoy a stress-free Superbowl party!
Finger Foods...
Buffalo Blue Cheese Dip--make it today, dip your veggies or chicken fingers in it tomorrow!
Buffalo Chicken Cheese Bites--(pictured above) worth skipping a commercial or two to grab a few more of these!
Loaded Baked Potato Dip--this screams "FOOTBALL"
Spinach and Artichoke Dip with Bacon--my bet's on this one disappearing before halftime!
Life Cereal Snack Mix--something crunchy to get you through those tense moments while you wait for the referees to determine a challenge
Sweet Potato Chorizo Empanadas with Avocado Cream--a little bit of a "heavier" to keep you full through the three-hour ordeal
Sandwiches... (all can be made ahead of time, no slaving in the kitchen during the game!)
Bombay Sloppy Joes--my favorite version of a sloppy joe, ever!
Crockpot BBQ Beer Chicken--anything with beer in the title is made for football-watching
Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches--simple to assemble, then just throw in the oven!
Slow Cooker Balsamic Pulled Pork Sliders--if your team loses, these sandwiches will still be a victory ;)
Try serving your sandwiches with one of these salads:
Autumn Chopped Salad--even the men will love this salad (full of bacon and blue cheese!)
Curried Cashew, Apple, and Grape Salad--one of my favorites from The Sweets Life
Winter Fruit Salad--(pictured above) who needs summer berries when you can fill a salad with apple, pear, and dried cranberries?!
And because a party isn't a party without dessert:
Superbowl Funfetti Cupcakes--(pictured above) funfetti doesn't have to come from a box!
Secret Ingredient Chocolate Chip Cookies--amazingly soft, thanks to their secret ingredient
M&M Dream Bars--a fan favorite!
Sweet and Salty Brownies--a truly winning brownie!
