This is another one of those odds and ends treats
where I literally took stock of what I had in my cabinets and starting tossing
stuff in a bowl….inventory control, if you will! Otherwise, I continue buying
baking supplies and suddenly my organized containers are overflowing with
half-full bags of nuts, candies, and chocolate chips. This particular day I was
out of butter and needed to make something to bring for church refreshments.
These are reminiscent of a similar chocolate covered chow mein treat I’ve
had before—but I think that one features peanut butter or butterscotch. These
are simply covered in dark chocolate candy melts (STILL leftover from my
all-time favorite Cheesecake Pretzel Bites) and I also tossed in
some M&Ms and peanuts. You could throw just about anything in them and
guarantee good results—pretzels, Reese’s pieces, dried fruit…just start
emptying those half-empty bags! :) Desserts
need not be fancy—just cover them in chocolate and you’re good to go!
